Suntzu
The Rotterdam agency SunTzu was founded in 2002. The company name refers to SunTzu (6th century B.C.). This famous philosopher and superintendent is also the author of “The art of warfare”, one of the oldest books on military strategy.
SunTzu, which was founded by 5 members, now has a headcount of 20. In April 2007 SunTzu joined the Emakina Group as an expert in brand communication. The ambition of SunTzu is to combine new and traditional media in order to establish a dialogue with the target group the advertiser wants to reach. By creating a link with the consumer, the advertiser gets to know its target group and to understand its needs. Even though the SunTzu campaigns have an integrated media approach (billboards, POS materials,…), the Internet is always the leading medium type that establishes contact with the consumer. The first big client was Conimex, the Unilever brand specialised in Oriental cuisine.
Today, SunTzu’s client list includes about 20 brands of the Unilever brand portfolio, such as Dove, Unox, Knorr, Axe and Ola. Other prestigious international clients are Microsoft and the MSN services portal, Logitech and Maxxium. Its national clients include NCRV, Den Hartogh Logistics, Renhardt and Art. 1.
