Résultats Semestriels : croissance de 84 % des ventes

Pour son premier semestre 2006, Emakina (Euronext Bruxelles: ALEMK) a enregistré un total des ventes de 4.089.338 EUR, contre 2.225.660 d’EUR durant la même période en 2005. Il s’agit donc une progression de 84 % par rapport à l’année dernière.

Ces excellents chiffres sont principalement dus à l’acquisition de nouveaux contrats ainsi qu’à une forte hausse de la demande chez nos clients existants. De son côté, le bénéfice opérationnel avant amortissement (Ebitda) du premier semestre 2006 s’élève à 804.212 EUR, contre 135.299 EUR pour 2005. Le résultat net pour la même période atteint 403.148,46 EUR, contre -15.830 EUR en 2005.

Points forts du premier semestre

Le premier semestre s’est achevé sur cette note très positive grâce à la conjoncture favorable du marché et à la capacité de l’agence à satisfaire efficacement la demande. La marge opérationnelle pour le premier semestre s’élève à 20 %, contre 6 % pour la même période l’année passée.

« Cette augmentation de nos marges résulte d’une meilleure utilisation de nos ressources fixes et par un taux d’occupation en nette amélioration, explique Denis Steisel, CEO d’Emakina. Notre politique de prévision des ventes et d’optimisation du planning des ressources porte ses fruits. »

Emakina est également heureux de compter de nouveaux clients en quête d’une agence « full service » pour développer leurs projets Internet : Petercam, Fédérauto, Keytrade, Touring Assurances, Glaxo Smith Kline, Boek, Vacature…

Les six premiers mois ont également été marqués par des innovations technologiques et créatives de premier plan. Emakina est notamment à l’origine de VW Escape TV (www.vwescape.tv), projet qui constitue une première dans le domaine de la communication interactive. « VW Escape TV est la première chaîne de télévision que vous pouvez regarder sur votre iPod, votre téléphone portable ou votre PlayStation portable. Un projet de ce type ouvre de nouvelles possibilités aux annonceurs », souligne Brice Le Blévennec, Président du Conseil d’Administration d’Emakina.

Perspectives d’ici la fin de l’année

Nous restons confiants pour l’évolution de nos activités sur le second semestre. Au vu de notre carnet de commande actuel, nous pensons pouvoir conserver le taux de croissance des ventes de plus de 80 % par rapport au deuxième semestre 2005.

Rapport du commissaire

Nous avons comparé les données comptables reprises dans le communiqué semestriel de Emakina Group SA avec la situation active et passive et le compte de résultats consolidés arrêtés au 30 juin 2006, dont le total du bilan s’élève à € 4.115.740 et dont le compte de résultats se solde par un bénéfice net (part du groupe) de € 403.148,46. Nous confirmons que ces données comptables ne présentent pas de disparités significatives par rapport aux comptes intermédiaires consolidés.

Nous avons émis un rapport de revue limitée relatif à ces comptes intermédiaires consolidés, déclarant que, sur la base de notre revue limitée, aucun élément n’a été révélé qui impliquerait que ces comptes intermédiaires consolidés ne sont pas présentés, à tous les égards importants, conformément aux dispositions légales et réglementaires applicables en Belgique.

Semestrial Results : 84 % growth in half-yearly sales

For the first six months in 2006, Emakina (Euronext Brussels: ALEMK) posted sales of a total of 4,089,338 EUR, against 2,225,660 EUR over the same period in 2005. This represents a progression of 84 % compared to last year.

These excellent figures are mainly due to the acquisition of new contracts as well as a strong growth in demand amongst existing clients. The operating profits before amortisation (ebitda) for the first half-year of 2006 total 804,212 EUR, compared with 135,299 EUR in 2005. The net result for the same period reaches 403.148,46 EUR, for –15,830 EUR in 2005.

High points of the first 6 months

The first six months finished on a very positive note thanks to the favourable market conditions and the agency’s capacity to efficiently satisfy demand. Operational margins over the period reached 20 %, against 6 % for the same period last year. “This increase in margins stems from a better use of our fixed resources and an improved occupation rate” explains Denis Steisel, CEO of Emakina. “Our sales forecast policy and optimisation of resources planning is bearing fruit.” Emakina is also delighted to count new clients looking for a “full service” agency to develop their Internet projects: Petercam, Fédérauto, Keytrade, Touring Assurances, Glaxo Smith Kline, Boek, Vacature… The first six months were also marked by first-rate technological and creative innovations. Emakina is notably behind VW Escape TV (www.vwescape.tv), a premiere in the field of interactive communication. “VW Escape TV is the first TV channel you can watch on your iPod, portable phone or portable PlayStation. A project of this type opens new possibilities for advertisers,” notes Brice Le Blévennec, President of Emakina’s Board of Directors.

Perspectives for the second half of the year

We remain confident concerning the evolution of our activities for the second semester. Given our current order portfolio, we believe we can maintain the growth rate of more than 80 % over the same period of 2005.

Auditor’s report

We have compared accounting data in the six-month results of Emakina Group SA with the active and passive situation of the consolidate results as of June 30 2006. The total of the balance sheet is € 4,115,740, whose overall result is a net profit (group share) of € 403,148.46. We confirm that these financial data show no significant disparities with the consolidated intermediate accounts.

We drew up a review report concerning these consolidated intermediate accounts, declaring that on the basis of our limited review, no element was found that would suggest that the consolidated intermediate accounts are not presented, in every important aspect, in compliance with the regulatory and legal dispositions applicable in Belgium.

Deze uitstekende cijfers zijn vooral te wijten aan de aanwinst van nieuwe contracten, alsook aan de sterk toegenomen vraag van onze bestaande klanten. Voor het eerste semester van 2006 bedraagt de operationele winst voor afschrijvingen (EBITDA) 804.212 EUR tegenover 135.299 EUR voor 2005. De nettowinst voor dezelfde periode was 403.148,46 EUR, tegenover -15.830 EUR in 2005.

Sterke punten van het eerste semester

Het eerste semester eindigde met dit zeer positief cijfer dankzij de gunstige conjunctuur van de markt en de het vermogen van het agentschap om efficiënt te voldoen aan de vraag. De operationele marge voor het eerste semester bedraagt 20%, tegenover 6% voor dezelfde periode verleden jaar.

"Deze stijging van onze marges is het gevolg van een beter beheer van onze vaste kosten en een sterk verbeterde bezetting”, legt Denis Steisel, CEO, uit. “Onze politiek inzake prognose van de verkoop en optimalisatie van de planning van de medewerkers draagt zijn vruchten."

Emakina is eveneens gelukkig nieuwe klanten te tellen op zoek naar een "full service" agentschap om hun Internet-projecten te ontwikkelen: Petercam, Fédérauto, Keytrade, Touring Assurances, Glaxo Smith Kline, Boek, Vacature...

De eerste zes maanden waren ook gekenmerkt door vooraanstaande technologische en creatieve vernieuwingen. Emakina ligt met name aan de oorsprong van VW Escape TV (www.vwescape.tv), een project dat een première betekent op het gebied van de interactieve communicatie.

"VW Escape TV is het eerste televisienet dat u kunt bekijken op uw iPod, uw mobiele telefoon of uw draagbare PlayStation. Een dergelijk project biedt nieuwe mogelijkheden aan adverteerders", onderstreept Brice Le Blévennec, voorzitter raad van bestuur van Emakina.

Vooruitzichten tot het einde van het jaar

Wij blijven vertrouwen hebben in de evolutie van onze activiteiten voor het tweede semester. Gezien ons huidig orderboek, denken wij het groeipercentage van de verkoop te kunnen behouden op meer dan 80% ten opzichte van het tweede semester van 2005.

Rapport van de commissaris

Wij hebben de boekhoudkundige gegevens opgenomen in het halfjaarlijks communiqué van Emakina Group NV vergeleken met de geconsolideerde staat van activa en passiva alsook de resultatenrekening per 30 juni 2006, die afsluiten met een balanstotaal van € 4.115.740 en met een netto winst (aandeel van de groep) over het semester van € 403.148,46. Wij bevestigen dat deze boekhoudkundige gegevens geen kennelijke tegenstrijdigheden bevatten met de tussentijdse geconsolideerde rekeningen.

Bij deze tussentijdse geconsolideerde rekeningen hebben wij een verslag van beperkt nazicht afgeleverd waarin wij verklaren dat, op basis van ons beperkt nazicht, niets erop wijst dat deze tussentijdse geconsolideerde rekeningen niet in alle materiële opzichten zijn opgesteld in overeenstemming met de in België toepasselijke wettelijke en bestuursrechtelijke voorschriften.

L'offre consiste en actions nouvelles et existantes pour un montant d’environ 8.4 millions d'euros, dont environ 1.1 millions d’euros en actions existantes dans le but de stabiliser le cours. Les actions seront cotées et négociées sur Alternext Bruxelles dès le vendredi 7 juillet 2006. Leur livraison aux investisseurs est prévue le même jour. « Au vu des conditions des marchés financiers, nous considérons cette opération comme un succès. Elle permettra assurément à Emakina de procéder à des acquisitions et de financer sa croissance interne », déclare Brice Le Blévennec, président du Conseil d’administration. De afgelopen weken konden kandidaten via hun webcam een screentest opnemen en opsturen naar de virtuele studio van VW Escape TV. Al die sollicitaties werden naar de galerij geüpload waar bezoekers konden stemmen en vrienden konden uitnodigen om de leukste spotjes te bekijken. Raphaël Charlier (presentator op Pure FM) en Anita Lixel (eerder te zien op Plug TV en TV-Brussel) vormen straks het Franstalige presentatorenduo, Dieter Vanthournout en Werner Spelkens nemen de Nederlandstalige presentatie voor hun rekening. “De groep 18- tot 30-jarigen is een ander type verbruiker als het over media gaat. SN Brussels Airlines is a Belgian full-service airline company and offers 285 daily flights to various destinations in Europe, Africa and the USA. Approximately 2100 people work with SN Brussels Airlines. In 2004, the airline company booked a net result of €1.04 million. SN Brussels Airlines chose Tridion as the basis for its new Web site flySN.com. Since the launch of the Web site in August 2004 the number of online bookings has increased up to 20,000 flight bookings per month. The travel industry is constantly on the move. Internet is playing a more important role in the orientation, information and booking behaviour of travellers. Flight tickets are one of the most frequent bought products on the Internet taking up fifteen percent of all the Internet transactions. Due to the growing demand of online booking in the travel industry, SN Brussels needed to improve their home-grown content management system (CMS) and upgrade their system to a better CMS which could also support their ambition to become the market leader in Belgium and to penetrate the African and European market successfully. Emakina provides the international design for the new QuickStep Unilin Flooring site. When a company wants to expand their expectations, that’s the point where Emakina joins and helps to approve the dreams of the clients on the web. In this particular instance of the QuickStep project, dedicated people of both companies worked together to design and develop in a record time a new modern consumer site for the wellknown Quickstep laminate brand. Attraction, sensibility and professionalism were the keywords for the style directed at the Quickstep customers. One of the main challenges of the project was to show the different aspects of laminate flooring and guide the visitor through the catalogue. This is for example  reflected in the design of the menu where visitors of all kinds  can enter with a direct access to the products. Visitors can make  a color choice, pick their favorite wood type or more specificly select by visual effects, gamma name or use the direct search engine. By providing multiple accesses to the products getting lost in the Quickstep offering is a thing of the past. The Quickstep project shows us how a multiple language site can be easy  to navigate and attractive without loosing the product and its information out of sight.... read more

Nalu is a vitalizing drink that is enjoyed by young active adults, at work or on the way to work, and serves as a delicious beverage to help keep you going through the day. Emakina was recruited to develop an internet platform that is THE central element in Nalu’s through-the-channel marketing campaigns. Some of the features are that can be found online are: an interactive platform to browse witty and refreshing quotes, the possibility to create new ones and send them as e-cards to friends and such. New Sprite campaign

For the launch of the new Sprite campaign, which adopted the goblin, a rather hideous creature by Jim Henson (Muppet Show), Emakina designed and orchestrated an innovative viral marketing campaign combining guerrilla marketing with a dozen online viral tactics: creating false blogs, interfering with chat-rooms, sending fake "chain" emails, circulating “shock” video footage, creating a fake fan site using "forward to a friend" mechanisms, publishing a fake newspaper intended for the press, fake small ads in the press... Over the course of a month, over 100,000 individual visitors were drawn by word-of-mouth before the launch of the new Sprite website and the beginning of the more traditional bannering campaign. The usual product information, wallpaper etc. can be found on the site, but in particular there are also the SMS, emails and voicemails left by members of the public during the teaser stage.

End of February marked the launch of a new website dedicated to a unique collection of equine art: the horse in all its beauty immortalized in different styles and formats by talented artists. People can browse the art catalogue buy a gift for themselves or their dear ones and at the same time make a genuine contribution to a unique project for the preservation of an endangered species, the “Skyros horse. Emakina designed and developed both the site and it was launched end of February. The site contains high quality images of the art works and integrated biographies of the artists. Team+Spirit, Dexia Group’s intranet, has adopted a new image with the development in its graphics, some new functionalities and, above all, the finalisation of the migration to Emakina’s content-management framework. VLM Airlines and Emakina have collaborated on the new VLM website. Fully dynamic and CMS driven (emagiC), with a new attractive design and an integrated SITA booking engine, this project can surely be dubbed a success, as is demonstrated by the increased online ticket sales.
