Project Description
The new website of Delta Lloyd Life provides not only the facility to publish “static” content, such as the company profile, results, values, and also for more dynamic content, such as News items, job, offers, product information…
For each of these functions the standard Tridion CMS features were used as much as possible, with additional custom developments. The homepage for example aggregates different content types (“components”) taking into account the component’s Meta data.
We also linked products to the different customer profiles to provide targeted texts and customer referencing to the most appropriate products.
The Tridion workflow system was extended, in combination with the use of the Blueprinting system for content sharing purposes, extensively to cope with the language handling requirements, organizational policies and hierarchy.
Additional custom modules have been built outside of Tridion, i.e. for the online simulation of insurance costs or the dealer locator providing Delta Lloyd Life with efficient sales tools on their Internet.
The effective development duration of this project took about 3.5 months, which is a considerably short period for a project of this size.
In the following project steps the dealers extranet will use the same architecture, partially providing the same info (through blueprinting) and additional (more technical) info for the dealers. In the future this extranet will also be linked with Delta Lloyd Life’s CRM BackOffice.
On the external website, all Office documents (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) were first converted into Adobe PDF files. This was done in order to ensure minimum virus risks and to offer a widely supported format.
Via the Tridion CMS system, the site administrators can upload technical brochures about the performance of Delta Lloyd Life managed stock funds and product info. Via controlling the lifetime of a document (eg. first quarter 2006), Delta Lloyd Life assured that always the latest info was available on the site.
