Project Description
Rent A Wife is the first woman rental service over the Internet: connect on the website, featuring 9.584 women for rent, and select your favourite by flicking though the virtual catalogue like in a classic e-commerce website. Each model has her own characteristics: Erika is an intellectual who talks a lot and can make dinner for your mates, while Emma is more adventurous. You can rent as many as eight wives at the same time. Don't panic: the whole website is an enormous joke - and an advertising campaign for the (real) DVD rental service DVD Post.
Playing on a sexist cliché, Rent A Wife is probably the biggest buzz marketing campaign ever done in Belgium. In order to ignite the fire and feed the buzz, the online viral effect has been supported by an offline PR campaign that has been carefully managed by our creative team. The result has taken Belgium by storm in a few hours.
