Euro CG’09

Author: Brice Le Blévennec

As an international company active in the sector of new technologies, we’re always keen on supporting people and organisations promoting research and innovation, especially when it can have an impact on the Internet. Next week, we’re the proud sponsor of the 25th edition of EuroCG’09, aka the European Workshop on Computational Geometry that will be held between March 16 and March 18 in the Free University of Brussels. What’s Computational Geometry ? According to the entry on Wikipedia, this is “a branch of computer science devoted to the study of algorithms which can be stated in terms of geometry”. Even if this definition may sound a bit theoretical, some sub-domains of Computational Geometry have a direct application to the Internet and can help to solve problems that developers, for example, must face in their daily jobs when building a new web application. Check out EuroCG’09for more details about this event.
