Paying with your mobile phone

Together with Banksys, the three mobile operators on the Belgian market (Proximus, Base and Mobistar) have unveiled today a new secured payment method called m-banxafe that lets you complete a money transaction with your cell phone.

As technical provider for Base, our IT department is involved in the backstage of this project. We developed namely two new features based on m-banxafe:

– Mobile Prepaid Reload: trigger a prepaid reload from the m-banxafe SIM card (there’s a direct connection with Banksys to deduct money from your bank account).
– Customer Care tool: the Base helpdesk can now trace all m-banxafe transactions and enrollment status.
