Emakina’s creativity crowned at “Le Meilleur du Web” 2015

At the Swiss competition Le meilleur du web in Lausanne, Emakina’s creativity was acknowledged with the Best Video prize. This award particularly honours the uplifting atmosphere of the production and its creative environment.

Our film « Look up to the sky » was created for the prestigious Swiss watchmaking brand Jaeger-LeCoultre for the 2015 edition of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva. Emakina’s challenge was to bring together the origins of horology, the astral inspiration and the creativity of Jaeger-LeCoultre in an epic video.

The starting idea was to invite the SIHH visitors to look up to the sky and understand the mystic connection between outer space and earthly time. To tell that story, Emakina created an immersive film in motion design mixing vintage astral illustrations to give weight to Jaeger’s heritage and sharp geometric shapes for a modern touch. The images show how the constellations, the planets, the moon and the sun have defined the pace of our lives and have inspired us throughout the centuries.

The film is transformed into an epic experience thanks to the uplifting music, made especially for the project, and the inspiring words told by the voice over, recounting the close relationship between space and time in a poetic yet didactic way.

Emakina is proud to pay, through this production, a real tribute to the elegance and historical craftsmanship of Jaeger-LeCoultre. The team also created an innovative 3D telescope for the client, adding an interactiver space and time journey to the experience.
