Launch of first virtual amusement park, www.sixflagseurope.com overhauled by Emakina

At the request of the European division of Six Flags, Emakina is starting a major overhaul of the site www.sixflagseurope.com.
The e-business agency has been awarded this extensive, long-term project. It will start by creating new house styles specific to the Web. The new version of the site will come on line in late October 2002. The collaboration between Six Flags and Emakina will continue with the regular launch of new modules.

Interactivity will be one of the major advantages of the site, which will serve as link or even major support for many coordinated special offers with the parks. The site will contain various modules, including a virtual games area. A virtual amusement park will also be set up, enabling surfers to experience the atmosphere of the Six Flags parks. “To make the site exciting and dynamic, we have to base our action on interactivity and modules, like the www.coca-cola.be site, which is much respected in the profession,” said Brice Le Blévennec, Partner at Emakina.

A new, innovative site

Six Flags has eight parks in Europe, including Six Flags Belgium and Bellewaerde Park in Belgium. The current on-line site serves as a portal for the various European parks. The challenge for Emakina will be to develop a new exciting site with an innovative visual concept and content that is both fun and practical, while bearing in mind that the site has to serve as a portal. Emakina will also overhaul the sites of the other amusement parks, except for that of Warner Bros. Movie World in Spain.
The agency will set up a secure payment module for buying the Euro Season Pass, which will facilitate visitor access to the parks. Later, it will also be possible to buy entrance tickets for the various parks on line.
