What is revenue?

Revenue is the fifth stage of Dave McClure’s AARRR funnel – the growth marketing framework, often known as the pirate funnel. In this stage, there are two important metrics to know about: customer acquisition cost (CAC) and customer lifetime value (CLV).

Comparing the CAC to the CLV, helps you determine what needs to change in order to build revenue and grow your business. As you would expect, all the other phases of the funnel feed into this one.
